If you don't want to miss any more important calls, you need to take a look at what the Callwave service will do for you. Callwave is the latest Internet software to hit the technology market, but it is only available in the United States. With this technology you can get your messages through the computer speakers, have the caller ID flash up on the screen or even have them delivered to your email inbox.

Since this is a new feature, very similar to Internet Call Waiting, most people are not sure whether or not they want to commit to a subscription. Therefore Callwave is offering a 30-day free trial. You don't need to enter your credit card information and you can simply download the files from the Callwave site. Once they install on your computer you can use them right away.

The basic plan, called Alert, is free, though it does have some limited features. For example, you can only receive three faxes a month, but if you don't normally receive faxes, then this won't bother you at all. You do get a toll free number that callers can use to leave a message and by which you family and friends can contact you without being charged long distance rates.

You don't have to buy any equipment or software in order to take advantage of Callwave. Everything you need is online. The only change you might have to make is to add call forwarding to your telephone package, which will only cost about $1.50 a month.
