Call Wave

If you subscribe to the Call Wave service, you won't have any problems installing it on your computer. You can choose to try out the service with a 30-day free trial by simply clicking on the link that will take you to the download. The file is quite small so it doesn't take long to download. When you click on the file it automatically installs on your PC, but just in case you have trouble all the installation instructions are included.

In order to take full advantage of the Callwave Internet Answering Service, you will have to make a small change to your current telephone package. Unless you already have the feature, you will need to add "call forwarding", but this only costs about $1.50 per month. This is so any incoming calls can be forwarded to the toll free number. If your telephone service provider is listed with Callware, this can be done automatically when you download the files. If not, then you will have to call your telephone company or visit their web site, and set up the feature yourself.

This exciting new Internet Answering Service is only available in the US at the present time. It does work with Windows XP, 2000, ME, NT 4.0 and 98, but it does not work with MAC computers. It is also compatible with the servers of all the major Internet providers in the United States. It doesn't matter whether you use a cable modem or DSL either because with this service, your modem becomes a second phone line. If you are on the phone when a call comes in, it is routed to your email inbox through the "always online" feature.
